Most people know Nikola Tesla as the father of alternating current, an eccentric and brilliant man who changed the world. He discovered a form of electricity that supplies electricity to almost every business and every home. But Tesla wasn't just the man who became known for one discovery or invention.
All told, he held 272 patents in 25 countries. And you might think that all these inventions will be in part of electrical engineering as something very dear to his heart. But in 1913, Tesla received a patent for what became known as the Tesla engine.
