What is an induction motor and what are its basic working principles?

The induction motor is perhaps the most commonly used electrical machine. It's easy to maintain, it is cheaper and more durable compared to other alternatives. In addition, the induction motor always runs at speeds lower than synchronous speed.

The most common type of asynchronous motor with squirrel-cage rotor. In that squirrel cage has aluminium conductors, which were closed at both ends. 3 symmetrically placed winding 3 currents and air gap flux generating the rotor current is produced.
