What is a DSG transmission? As a direct shift gearbox work? - Explained

What is a DSG transmission? As a direct shift gearbox work? DSG transmission is a gearbox with dual clutch transmission used by Volkswagen. In a DSG uses two wet, multi-plate clutches to activate separate drive shafts, which sends torque through the even or odd gears. Since the blocks of gears located on different shafts, this allows you to select the next transmission, which allows for almost instant gear changes without a complete loss of torque. The DSG transmission work like a manual transmission, but with electronic controls and, therefore, the gear selection can be automatic or manual, but does not require using the clutch pedal as this is all activated automatically.
