All alternators, voltage may be obtained by rotating a coil of wire in a magnetic field or when a rotating magnetic field in a stationary coil of wire .No matter, the coil is moving or the magnetic field moves. Either configuration equally well and both are used separately or in combination, depending on the mechanical, electrical and other purposes.
